The Council on Emerging Markets for Heads of EMEA serves executives from global companies who are responsible for their company’s strategy or operations in the critical regions of Eastern Europe/Former Soviet Union, Middle East and Africa. Participation is reserved for the senior-most executive responsible for the region, and his or her direct reports.
The opening up and subsequent integration of Eastern European and Former Soviet Union countries into the global economy; massive wealth creation in the Middle East fuelled by the energy boom; and the untapped potential of Africa all present companies with tremendous new growth opportunities but also significant challenges.
EMEA countries offer executives differing challenges, but there are many common themes: taking advantage of the vast growth opportunities presented by this booming region, managing corruption and weak legal and contract systems, challenging distribution and supply chains, a shortage of talented people, and many others.
The Council on Emerging Markets for Heads of EMEA helps companies raise the bar on strategy and execution by enabling them to learn from the experiences and proven best practices of their peers who have done it right.
